October 17, 2024 marks 50 years to the day that Willie Nelson first stepped on our stage to record the pilot episode. Mark your calendars and join us in celebrating the 50th season of Austin City Limits with these incredible events.

  • The 2024 10th Annual Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place September 5, 2024, at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. Garth Brooks was the sole honoree and was inducted by Austin City Limits executive producer Terry Lickona. Highlights from Brooks’ Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air as a special hourlong Austin City Limits broadcast in early 2025 to celebrate the program’s golden anniversary Season 50.

  • October 17, 2024 marks 50 years to the day that the pilot episode for Austin City Limits was recorded. Willie Nelson makes his highly anticipated return to ACL on the anniversary of the pilot taping to commemorate Austin City Limits’ remarkable half-century run with a Texas-sized outdoor concert on the lawn at the Long Center. Austin originals Asleep at the Wheel will get the party started lone star-style with an opening set for the occasion.

  • On November 21, the program will tape a primetime PBS special at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, ACL Celebrates 50 Years. This all-star celebration will feature stars from the show’s five-decade history returning to the Austin City Limits stage. Limited sponsor packages now available.
